Job summary

Irwin and Colton is recruiting a Health, Safety and Environment Lead to provide strategic leadership across EMEA manufacturing sites and laboratories. The role involves shaping HSE standards, reporting and performance across multiple sites and newly acquired operations.

You will work with Site Leaders, Operations, Engineering and Maintenance to understand risks, lead investigations and drive continuous improvement while balancing site realities with high technical standards.

Qualifications

• Senior HSE and Process Safety experience in pharma/chemical manufacturing or high-hazard environments.
• Knowledge of DSEAR and ATEX and explosion risk management.
• Experience supporting multi-site and multi-country EMEA operations.
• Pragmatic and collaborative leadership with strong stakeholder influence.

Responsibilities

• Leading HSE and Process Safety strategy across EMEA pharmaceutical sites and laboratories.
• Acting as technical authority for DSEAR and ATEX, including explosion risk controls.
• Leading risk assessments, HAZOPs, management of change and incident investigations.
• Driving HSE systems, compliance, audits, CAPA and continuous improvement.
• Partnering with senior site leaders to strengthen safety culture and performance.
