Job summary

Amazon London seeks a Finance Manager to lead the EMEA statutory financial reporting and compliance activities. You will own closes for EMEA, drive cross-border projects, and implement best practices in controllership and reporting across multiple entities.

You will partner with senior stakeholders, use new technologies, and align reporting with US GAAP, local GAAP, and management reporting. The role requires strong analytical and automation capabilities within a global finance function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, statistics or business, or quantitative role experience.
• Experience in tax, finance or a related analytical field.
• Experience in multiple finance and accounting roles.
• Experience applying KPIs to analyses.
• Experience building financial and operational reports/data sets.
• Experience creating process improvements with automation and analysis.
• Experience participating in continuous improvement projects to scale controllership.

Responsibilities

• Representing the EMEA Accounting team.
• Leading and driving meetings with senior management on key financial statement areas.
• Ownership of the monthly, quarterly, and annual closes for the EMEA operations while implementing and maintaining adequate mechanisms for reviews and escalations.
• Driving standardization and continuous improvement of processes and controls to ensure high integrity of financial reporting.
• Delivering cross-country projects to enhance and deepen the control environment.
• Ensuring EMEA activities align with Worldwide Accounting Organization.
• Influencing accounting/finance terminology to non-finance audiences.
• Supports internal and external audit processes.
