EMEA Facultative Property Broker

We are hiring!

Aon is currently recruiting a Broker to join our team in London.

This role will work with our London-based EMEA Facultative Property team, supporting Account Executives (AEs) and senior team members to execute reinsurance transactions and manage client and market-specific placement and projects throughout the engagement lifecycle. Responsibilities include broking and placing risks into Lloyd’s and company markets, mainly focusing on wholesale risks from EMEA offices, especially Spain and Portugal. What the day will look like

Working on Property facultative reinsurance business, your tasks will include:

  • Negotiating terms and conditions with the market
  • Ensuring timely slip production and reviewing materials before market submission
  • Managing client expectations by communicating market dynamics and outcomes
  • Sourcing and developing new revenue opportunities with AEs and client teams
  • Supporting the development and delivery of market presentations and broking strategies
  • Identifying appropriate risk placement channels based on client guidelines and exerting influence to secure optimal deals
  • Advising clients and colleagues on placement design, coverage options, pricing, and market trends

Skills and experience that will lead to success

  • High-level English proficiency; Spanish and/or Portuguese skills are notably desirable
  • Excellent communication skills and relationship management abilities
  • Ability to consider underwriter perspectives and adapt approaches
  • Investment in research and development for innovative solutions
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • 2-3 years of relevant reinsurance broking or underwriting experience, including project and account management
  • Experience within the London Market
