About the team

The Stripe EMEA Marketing team is a dynamic and rapidly growing group dedicated to transforming customers into enthusiastic advocates for Stripe. Collaborating closely with sales, we focus on accelerating the path to purchase and enhancing product adoption among our user base. Our regional marketing efforts involve crafting and executing tailored marketing plans that resonate with local audiences, as well as spearheading our most significant conferences and sponsorships that drive go-to-market (GTM) success and business growth. What you’ll do

This role is ideal for a high-performing, autonomous leader with a strong strategic mindset and a commitment to delivering world-class events. As the Events Manager, you will be pivotal in expanding Stripe’s reach, driving engagement, and setting new standards for event excellence across various countries in EMEA.

Responsibilities
  1. Oversee the planning and execution of conferences and events.
  2. Lead relationships with agencies and contractors.
  3. Define and innovate event strategies, maintaining a high bar for program development and ensuring events align with Stripe’s key customer segments and GTM priorities.
  4. Serve as the main point of contact for cross-functional teams, working with product marketing, sales, GTM, and analytics to ensure that each conference aligns with broader business goals.
  5. Influence cross-organization stakeholders to align resources and priorities, foster strong partnerships and advocate for event needs across departments.
  6. Develop and manage event budgets, using data-driven insights to optimize spending and ensure each event achieves its business objectives.
  7. Define success metrics and track event performance, conducting in-depth post-event analysis to synthesize feedback, performance data, and insights, while collaborating with Finance, Data Science, and Analytics to refine strategies for future events based on measurable impact.
  8. Build and maintain high-value relationships with external vendors and partners, negotiating contracts and coordinating logistics to maximize the quality and impact of each event.
  9. Implement a learning agenda to test new approaches, analyze results, and continually raise the standard of execution across the conference portfolio.
Who you are

We are looking for an experienced and strategic events manager to join our EMEA regional marketing team at Stripe. This role is central to shaping and leading high-impact conference and sponsorship initiatives, particularly Tier 1 and Tier 2 3rd party industry events. The successful candidate is a problem solver, is passionate about creating an elevated customer experience, and has a proven track record of independently managing cross-functional event programs, working collaboratively across departments, and driving measurable results.

Qualifications
  1. 5-8 years in event management or marketing, with a strong focus on conferences, sponsorships, or high-impact events.
  2. Proven experience in leading agencies and contractors, as well as managing cross-functional project teams to drive successful outcomes. Demonstrated ability to independently lead complex, cross-functional programs with minimal guidance.
  3. Strong budget management skills, able to maximize impact while controlling costs.
  4. Innovative mindset, ad-hoc problem-solving and ability to deal with ambiguity.
  5. Exceptional communication and presentation skills, with experience in influencing cross-functional teams and senior stakeholders.
  6. Strong planning and organizational skills, and detail-oriented.
  7. Analytical mindset, able to interpret data and apply insights to improve event performance and refine strategy.
  8. Track record in working effectively with cross-functional and international teams.
  9. A willingness to travel and ability to work independently and autonomously, and work across time zones.
Preferred qualifications
  1. Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or related field preferred.
  2. Experience in tech or SaaS environments is highly desirable.

Office-assigned Stripes spend at least 50% of the time in a given month in their local office or with users. This hits a balance between bringing people together for in-person collaboration and learning from each other, while supporting flexibility about how to do this in a way that makes sense for individuals and their teams.

The annual salary range for this role in the primary location is £104,600 - £156,800. This range may change if you are hired in another location. For sales roles, the range provided is the role’s On Target Earnings (“OTE”) range, meaning that the range includes both the sales commissions/sales bonuses target and annual base salary for the role. This salary range may be inclusive of several career levels at Stripe and will be narrowed during the interview process based on a number of factors, including the candidate’s experience, qualifications, and specific location. Applicants interested in this role and who are not located in the primary location may request the annual salary range for their location during the interview process.
