Job summary

J.P. Morgan seeks an Equity Flow Product Controller within the EMEA Equity Derivatives team to produce substantiated P&L and market risk reports for Front Office and senior management.

You will collaborate with Front Office, Market Risk, Valuation Control, Financial Control, Operations and Technology to ensure accurate reporting and robust controls. You will interrogate data, provide insights, and contribute to continuous improvement of workflows by leveraging technology and challenging current

Qualifications

  • Work experience in Product Control, Audit, Valuations or related area.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business or related field.
  • Experience/understanding of derivative products and financial theory.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail with a control focus.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships.

Responsibilities

  • Produce daily P&L and Market Risk exposure reporting to Front Office.
  • Provide detailed analysis and reporting on the P&L drivers to Front Office heads and senior Finance management.
  • Drive coordination across front & back office support functions to resolve control and reporting issues timely.
  • Partner with the business to implement robust controls and new initiatives.
  • Assist with month-end close processes.
  • Handle various ad-hoc requests.

As an Equity Flow Product Controller within the EMEA Equity Derivatives team, you will produce substantiated T+1 P&L and market risk reports for the Front Office and senior management. You will partner closely with Front Office, Market Risk, Valuation Control, Financial Control, Operations, and Technology to ensure accurate reporting, robust controls, and timely escalation of issues impacting financials. Job Responsibilities
  • Produce daily P&L and Market Risk exposure reporting to Front Office .
  • Provide detailed analysis and reporting on the P&L drivers to Front Office heads, Business Managers and senior Finance management.
  • Drive coordination across various front & back office support functions to ensure resolution of control and reporting issues in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Partner with the business to drive forth and implement robust controls and new business initiatives.
  • Assist with month-end close processes.
  • Handle various ad-hoc requests on a daily basis.
Required qualifications, skills and capabilities
  • Work experience within Product Control, Audit, Valuations or related area.
  • Bachelor’s degree, preferably in Finance, Accounting, Business or related area.
  • Experience/understanding of derivative products and financial theory.
  • Strong analytical skills and attention to detail including a strong control focus.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to develop strong working relationships.
Preferred qualifications, skills and capabilities
  • Experience using Python, Alteryx, Tableau, Excel, VBA would be advantageous.
  • Part/Full qualification ACA, ACCA, CIMA, CFA preferred.
