Reporting Line

Local Division Manager, ELSE UK

Your Role and Responsibilities

In our EMEA ELSE Discovery Trainee Program, you will develop skills necessary to kickstart a career in the Service division at ABB. As a trainee, you will be part of a community, participating in activities with other trainees such as training sessions to enhance soft and technical skills, meeting project deadlines, and engaging in social and team-building activities to expand your network within ABB. Throughout the program, you will receive support from the Program Lead. The work model for this role is hybrid.

This role contributes to ABB's Electrification and Service division in the UK. You will support ABB's businesses, collaborate with leaders and teams, and contribute to strategic objectives. Daily tasks will involve supporting project management, technical reviews, customer interactions, and liaising with factories.

Key Responsibilities

1. Assist sales, tendering, and project managers in technical reviews and discussions with customers, partners, subcontractors, and vendors.
2. Deliver projects within budget and on time.
3. Assist with claims, customer specifications, and safety standards.
4. Create work plans, budgets, and perform risk assessments relevant to your engineering discipline.
5. Help resolve technical issues remotely and at customer sites.
6. Liaise with factories regarding delivery, design, and technical resolution.

Qualifications

• Recent bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field.
• Understanding of project management principles.
• Excellent communication skills in English.
• Growth mindset focused on learning and improvement.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to see projects through.
• Flexibility and willingness to travel across the UK (driving license required).
