Job description

The Role:

We’re looking for a strategic marketing leader to define and drive the EMEA Marketing and Investment strategy for Molton Brown. This role covers the full consumer marketing funnel—Awareness, Engagement, and Conversion—across both direct (stores, outlets, digital) and indirect (Wholesale, Travel Retail, and Pure Play) channels in our key markets, with a focus on the UK and Germany.

You’ll be accountable for the marketing budget and lead teams across brand, digital, and trade marketing. Additionally, you’ll oversee the Global Sales Education team, ensuring impactful consumer engagement through service development and staff training, while also supporting our UK retail operations.

What you will do:

  • Develop Go to Market strategy across brand, trade, and digital marketing.
  • Manage UK and Germany marketing budgets & US digital marketing budget.
  • Collaborate with the Global Marketing team to optimize global plans based on consumer, trend, and retailer insights.
  • Align with the Senior Manager Global Channels Marketing to ensure strategies are relevant for global channels.

Media investment strategy across the full funnel:

  • Allocate resources effectively between offline and online media channels based on KPIs.
  • Manage earned and owned marketing to maximize impact and growth.

Lead social media content and advocacy:

  • Define content mix on social platforms to build awareness & engagement.
  • Lead influencer marketing strategies to reach target audiences.
  • Optimize content strategy & briefs based on engagement metrics.

Monitor & accelerate sell-out across Retailer, .Com, and UK SAS channels, and retain customers in direct channels:

  • Develop strategies and reactive plans with commercial stakeholders.
  • Create distinctive service experiences and global staff training programs.
  • Advocate for wholesale needs within the global marketing team.
  • Drive customer lifetime value via CRM strategies in the UK and US.

Team leadership:

  • Manage 4 direct reports within a team of 21.
  • Handle recruitment, management, upskilling, and performance management.

What you will need:

  • Marketing degree or equivalent.
  • 15+ years in a global omnichannel business in a brand marketing role.
  • Proven leadership across trade, digital, and brand marketing.
  • Experience in budget optimization with clear accountability measures.
  • Ability to drive earned media and maximize owned media impact within limited budgets.
  • Strong commercial acumen and ability to develop win/win plans with retail or wholesale partners.
  • Experience in retail, beauty, luxury, or premium drinks industry.
  • Ability to translate brand vision into actionable strategies adaptable to market dynamics.
  • Understanding of retail dynamics, channel management, and P&L levers.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and insight-driven decision-making.
  • Leadership skills to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
