Job summary

London Bank, a leading financial institution, seeks a Data Privacy Lawyer to support its Banking & Technology teams in London. You will manage complex privacy compliance across the UK and EMEA, author and negotiate data processing and data sharing agreements, and advise on cross-border transfers.

The role offers flexible working with a supportive Legal team, training, and development opportunities, and exposure to strategic procurement initiatives within a global banking group.

Qualifications

• Qualified solicitor with 4+ years PQE in data privacy.
• Experience with cross-border transfers and DPIAs.
• Experience drafting/negotiating banking/financial services contracts.

Responsibilities

• Advise on UK GDPR and data privacy laws across UK/EMEA.
• Draft/negotiate data processing agreements and data sharing agreements.
• Oversee cross-border transfers and DPIAs; assist DPIA/LIAs for tech implementations.
• Provide guidance on incident response for data breaches and DSARs.
• Lead contract standardisation and template development with LegalTech.
• Support procurement and commercial contracting from a legal perspective.
