Job summary

Amazon is seeking a Construction Environmental Program Manager to lead the EMEA Environmental program during data center construction, developing strategy, scalable processes, and driving operational excellence across a rapidly growing portfolio of projects.

The role partners with construction teams, contractors, and internal stakeholders to embed environmental best practices at every stage of the construction lifecycle, including periodic site visits to validate ground-level implementation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in science or equivalent.
• Experience developing environmental compliance programs including regulated waste, water, and air regulations.
• Experience in construction program management of large, complex projects involving large-scale MEP plants.
• Applied knowledge of federal, state, and local environmental laws and standards.
• Experience using data and metrics to back up assumptions and implement effective solutions.

Responsibilities

• Define and implement the EMEA Construction Environmental Program, including standards and SLAs.
• Develop and maintain the regional environmental risk assessment framework.
• Create and own regional environmental inspection and audit protocols.
• Establish program requirements for Construction Environmental Management Plans and oversee their quality.
• Partner with construction teams and regulators to ensure compliance across all phases.
• Coordinate with environmental consultants and internal stakeholders.
• Review design changes for environmental implications and advise teams.
• Define and track environmental compliance metrics and build dashboards.
• Lead incident investigations and drive corrective actions.
• Develop and deliver environmental training for teams.

Education
