Qualifications

Job Description:

We have a new Claims Operations System and Process Analyst role available to join our EMEA Claims Operations team. This role can be based in our London, Glasgow or Madrid office.

The role holder will represent the Claims Business in projects to update and improve claim workflows, systems and processes in the European Region.

The role holder will investigate, scope, design solutions and where necessary lead remediation actions when data quality or process gaps manifest within business as usual (BAU) processes. They will report to the Claims Process and Re-Engineering Manager.

The role exists to ensure that claim projects and BAU operational objectives are delivered successfully, with mimium adverse impact on claims production, and are SOX compliant.

The roleholder will also assist the Claims Process and Re-Engineering Manager with addressing and resolving BAU system and process issues that are cross line or cross functional or of a complexity that is beyond the skill set of the relevant line manager or claims adjuster.

  • Assisting the Claims Process and Re-Engineering Manager in the role out of Claims Components to the P&C line of business across the UK&I, and the EU. This will involve implementation studies, Gap analysis, UAT script creation, testing, local support and training, together with local site support following production deployments.
  • Responsible for Genius, Claims Connect and Work View BAU support, system enhancements, testing and deployment. Enhance docs’cc
  • Assist with the continuing enhancements of the COG Indexing Horizontal Project (Cytora) in order to gain maximum operational efficiency for the claims teams across the UK&I and CE
  • Assist the Process and Re-Engineering Manager in all other system project work for any other claims or non-claims related projects.
  • Where require, participate in operational audit’s. This responsibility relates to all Chubb European offices (in EU).
  • Maintain effective liaison with System and Process team members, claims adjusters and claims management and participate as required in country office reviews.
  • Work with Internal Audit, Claims Governance, QA and the Vendor Team in order to drive system changes (and remediation) of outstanding issues and systems changes to ensure compliance and appropriate work flow.
  • Demonstrate excellent communication skills, a confident and articulate presenter to internal/external audiences.
  • Excellent organisational skills including effective scheduling, prioritisation and time management skills, completing tasks to tight deadlines.
  • Strong understanding of project and business analysis activities.
  • Ideally should have prior experience of systems testing.
  • Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft Office programmes (2007 and beyond); Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
  • Experience of Cognos, Qlik Sense, with the ability to use both to undertake ad hoc querying.
  • Ideally should have a sound understanding of web based rules based applications (Filenet, CC and AS400 programmes.
  • Should posses intermediate claim’s analytical skills.
  • First class report writing and presentation skills, ability to develop and present ideas and reasoned arguments clearly and concisely to various audiences
  • Intermediate level understanding of the General Principles and Practices of Insurance and Reinsurance.
  • Previous Claims handling and adjudication experience on either P&C or A&H lines of business is preferred.
  • An advanced knowledge of Claims Connect (Duck Creak) application is preferable.
  • Basic, Intermediary or advanced Spanish, German, French or Italian is preferable.
