ABOUT YOU

Intertek Electrical is looking for an EMC & Radio Test Engineer to help underpin the impressive growth plans for the UK business. Reporting to the Lab Manager, you will be in a lab-based role in Leatherhead, Surrey.

What You Will Bring to The Team:

1. Hands on EMC testing experience to EN, IEC, ISO, ETSI and CISPR standards
2. Hands on Radio testing experience to EN, ETSI, AS, FCC, RSS and Japan Radio Law standards
3. Hands on experience of operating test equipment for the purposes of conducting Radiated Emissions, Radiated Immunity, Conducted Emissions, Conducted Immunity and Radio tests
4. Experience working within an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited test laboratory environment
5. You are a motivated self-starter
6. You can work under minimum supervision
7. You are analytical and able to solve technical problems
8. You can communicate effectively with customers and other members of the team
9. You have excellent time management skills and can complete projects to a set timescale

Qualifications:

1. Suitable degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent higher education or experience

ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

As an EMC & Radio Test Engineer, you will be joining a team of highly experienced EMC and Radio test engineers who deliver testing on Medical, Lighting, Information Technology & Telecommunications Equipment, Laboratory & Industrial Equipment, Household Appliances & Electronic Equipment, Energy Storage and Fire Detection & Alarm System products in accordance with a range of international EMC and Radio test standards.

Key Activities:

1. Interpret and follow test plans
2. Operate test equipment for the purposes of conducting Radiated Emissions, Radiated Immunity, Conducted Emissions, Conducted Immunity and Radio tests on customer products
3. Test moderate to highly complex customer products in accordance with a range of EMC and Radio standards
4. Document project test data and test notes
5. Write technical test reports
6. Provide weekly project status updates to customers
7. Working to a schedule and complete projects within set timescales
8. Working in accordance with the requirements of ISO/IEC 17025 and the Intertek Quality Management System
9. Establish and maintain professional relationships with customers
