Are you an EMC Testing expert with a passion for electrified mobility?
ALTEN UK is looking for an EMC Engineer to join an advanced battery testing programme within the automotive sector. You’ll work hands-on with cutting-edge battery systems, supporting electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) validation and integration in electric vehicle environments.
Location: Gaydon
Your main responsibilities will be:
- Conduct EMC testing on high-voltage battery systems and related components in accordance with automotive standards.
- Use tools such as CANalyzer to monitor and interpret CAN bus communication during test and debug activities.
- Collaborate with test engineers and cross-functional teams to identify and resolve EMC-related issues.
- Support battery and vehicle-level validation, ensuring compliance with EMC regulations and test specifications.
- Prepare accurate test documentation, including logs, issue reports, and results summaries.
- Assist in the setup and execution of lab-based and in-vehicle EMC tests, following safety protocols and engineering best practices.

- Background in automotive product validation, EV systems, or electrical testing environments
