Job summary

IC Resources seeks an Embedded Software Engineer in Oxford with an option to work from home. You will develop embedded software from design through implementation and testing, delivering high-performance communication and control systems.

The role demands 4+ years of post-graduate experience, strong C/C++ skills, RTOS (FreeRTOS), Linux, and expertise in Ethernet/IP networking, DMA, and bus interfaces (I2C, SPI, CAN, EtherCAT). Hybrid work from Oxford is available.

Qualifications

• Development of embedded systems from design through implementation and testing, to integration.
• At least 4 years relevant commercial experience post-graduation.
• Proficient use of Git version control and CI systems.
• Python development, including test scripts.
• Real-Time / Embedded software development in C / C++.
• Development with RTOS (ideally FreeRTOS) and on Linux.
• Working with networking (Ethernet and IP), DMA, and hardware interfacing (I2C, SPI, CAN, and EtherCAT) protocols.

Responsibilities

• Developing for multi-core and FPGA based systems.
• At least 4 years relevant commercial experience post-graduation.
