Newton Colmore Consulting is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer for its medical devices division in Cambridge. You will tackle highly complex embedded software challenges, applying C++ and related languages to develop cutting-edge medical devices.

The role requires a strong foundation in embedded systems, a relevant degree, and a passion for solving physics and mathematics problems. The position is full-time and based onsite in Cambridge, UK.

Qualifications

  • We require experience as an Embedded Software Engineer with a strong track record in C and other software languages.
  • Experience in healthcare embedded software or similar complex domains is preferred.
  • Strong engineering fundamentals demonstrated through studies or professional experience.
  • A degree in software, biomedical, engineering, physics, mathematics or related Embedded C field is required.
  • Candidates should enjoy challenging physics or mathematical problem solving and evidence this in their CV or interests.

Responsibilities

  • Develop brand new, highly complex medical devices.
  • Solve complex embedded software problems, often as the sole Embedded Software Engineer on a project.
  • Apply software, physics and mathematics knowledge to technical problem solving.
  • Contribute to development of some of the most complex technologies in our field.

Salary: £45,000 - 85,000 per year

Requirements:
