Job summary

Enterprise Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer in Southampton to join a high-tech product team. The role focuses on writing and maintaining firmware for ARM-based microcontrollers in C and C++, in a real-time OS environment, with emphasis on debugging and bringing boards up on the bench.

You will work on serial and networked communications, benefiting from hands-on hardware interaction and contributing to safety-critical software.

Qualifications

• Two to three years in embedded development
• C and C++ on ARM based microcontrollers
• Familiarity with RTOS and interfaces such as SPI, I2C, CAN or TCP/IP
• A degree in electronics, computer science or a related subject

Responsibilities

• Write and maintain firmware for ARM-based microcontrollers in C and C++
• Work with a real-time operating system
• Implement serial and networked communications protocols
• Bring up and debug boards on the bench, validating hardware interactions
