Job Title: Embedded Software Engineer

Location: Wakefield

Note: They are unable to offer sponsorship at this time.

You will be working with a scaling business looking to make multiple hires across their engineering function, including this Embedded Software Engineer. The main purpose of this hire is due to expansion and innovation as the business grows into different avenues and industries.

They are looking to hire a junior to mid-level engineer with current experience working in a professional setting as an Embedded Software Engineer. There will be ample room for development, working alongside lead engineers and collaborating on innovative projects and long-standing client relationships.

Based in Wakefield, they prefer an office-based approach but can show flexibility for the right candidate. A more junior engineer would benefit from being in and around the office with peers.

Some of the day-to-day responsibilities:

  • Design and develop embedded software for hardware platforms
  • Develop real-time operating systems (RTOS) for ARM-based microprocessors

Skills needed to be successful:

  • Fundamental experience programming in C, with RTOS experience
  • Familiarity with embedded development tools, IDEs, and version control systems (e.g., Git)
