Job summary

Chroma Recruitment is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer for an engineering-focused company in Stockport. The role centers on designing embedded systems, from specification through to prototype, with close collaboration to advance your technical skills.

The position is mainly onsite in Stockport with a four‑day work week, offering diverse projects and opportunities to work across multiple embedded platforms including STM32 MCUs. Prior experience with Embedded C/C++ is essential.

Qualifications

Previous industry experience – ideally 3-5 years plus.
Embedded C/C++ through all stages of development.
Microcontrollers – STM32 familiarity.
FPGA – desirable but not essential.

Responsibilities

Design embedded systems for electronic-based products from concept to prototype.
Collaborate with senior team members to learn and develop technical skills.
Work on multiple projects simultaneously, contributing to specifications and designs.

A growing engineering company is now hiring an Embedded Software Engineer responsible for designing embedded systems for electronic-based products.

If you are a highly motivated individual with a desire to be challenged and make a real difference, the role of Embedded Software Engineer will really excite you.

As an Embedded Software Engineer, you’ll work closely with the senior members of the team, learning, and developing your technical skills whilst contributing to the multiple projects running at one time. You’ll be designing products from specification through to concept and prototype.

This role is mainly onsite in Stockport, however there is plenty of flexibility, only working a four-day week.
