Job summary

Minimal, a London-based technology company building intelligent autonomous vehicles, is seeking an Embedded Software Engineer. You will own embedded systems across the vehicle, from motor control to sensing, and build CI/CD and test infrastructure to ship firmware to a live fleet.

You’ll bring features from architecture through bring-up to validation on real hardware and leverage AI tooling to accelerate development.

Qualifications

• Strong embedded C/C++ and hardware/software integration
• Systems thinking: interfaces, failure modes and requirements
• CI/CD for embedded targets
• Architecture bring-up and validation on real hardware
• Ability to make architecture decisions with minimal sign-off

Responsibilities

• Own embedded systems across the vehicle: motor control, power, comms, sensing, vehicle-level behaviour
• Build the CI/CD and test infrastructure to ship firmware to a live fleet with confidence
• Take features from architecture through bring-up to validation on real hardware
• Use AI tooling to automate and accelerate development and influence tool usage

# Embedded Software EngineerLondon, Hybrid**Minimal is a London based technology company building a new way to move goods through cities. Intelligent, autonomous vehicles and the software that runs them, all built by our small and agile team.****Everything happens in our West London micro-factory, where we assemble vehicles, develop software and build new tooling all at once. Nothing here is off limits. If you have an idea, a solution or a better way of working, build it. You’ll be working alongside people with a passion for what we’re building and have genuine enjoyment in the process of building it.**Embedded software development is changing. AI is a genuine step change in how vehicle software gets written, tested and shipped, and that's what we're building at Minimal: a new way to develop software for vehicles, vertically integrated from silicon to street. Our first product, Pedal 4, is already running with enterprise fleets.
