Company Overview:

A fantastic global engineering organization based in Glasgow (Scotland) that specializes in the Semiconductor Industry is recruiting for a brand new Embedded Software Engineer to join their successful team. This role is ideal for a Senior Embedded Software Engineer or a mid-level Embedded Software Engineer who is looking for career progression and is ready to demonstrate their motivation to move into a senior position.

The Role:

This is an exciting opportunity as the Embedded Software Engineer will join a high-quality multi-discipline engineering team and will work on a broad range of high-end technologies, including Embedded Software, RTOS, automated software testing, and will be responsible for the design, development, and testing of software for the company’s products and technology.

Embedded Software Engineer Key Skills:

• 3-5+ years minimum industry experience
• Embedded C, C++, Python
• Experience with microcontrollers – STM32, ARM Cortex, etc.
• Experience with RTOS Systems
• Experience with Embedded Linux
• Network interfaces – SPI, I2C, USB, UART, CAN, Ethernet, ADCs, DACs
• Version Control Systems and integration tools - Git, Jenkins, SVN, etc.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a diversified and multidisciplinary team
• Good teamwork and communication skills

Bonus Nice to Have Skills:

• Experience in the full software development lifecycle
• Experience working with multicore chipsets and understanding data interchange between cores
• Awareness of IMX chipset
• Understanding of regression testing and CDCI process
• Test-driven development (TDD) experience
• C# and Visual Studio / Visual Studio Code
• Experience with FPGAs
• Awareness of the cyber resilience act to support documentation provided to customers
