Due to ongoing success and development of new projects, an excellent & established engineering organisation located in Lancashire (England) who are market leaders in the design and development of industry leading products for the safety and detection industries is now seeking to hire a brand-new Embedded Software Engineer to join the team and business.

Salary on offer:

The annual salary on offer for the successful Embedded Software Engineer £50,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on skillset and experience. No sponsorship is available.

Summary of the Embedded Software Engineering Role:

The successful Embedded Software Engineer will be working on intricate embedded systems for life-critical applications. In addition to this the Embedded Software Engineer will aid to systems design, architecture, and product innovation. The ideal Embedded Software Engineer will need to have a track record in complex system design and being strong in Embedded C.

Embedded Software Engineer Key Skills:

  • 3-5+ years of industry experience
  • Embedded Software Programming in C
  • Experience of microcontrollers – STM32, ARM Microcontrollers, PIC
  • Experience of low level firmware & bare metal development
  • Familiarity with real-time operating systems (RTOS) – FreeRTOS, QNX, VxWorks etc
  • Network interfaces – SPI, I2C, USB, UART, RS232/485, CAN, Modbus
  • Experience developing touchscreen HMI interfaces
  • Familiarity & experience with schematics, digital/analog circuit design, DSP, PCB Design
  • Knowledge of EMC, signal integrity, or power management – Bonus
  • Experience in regulated or safety-critical industries – Bonus
  • Version Control Systems - GIT, JIRA, SVN
