Job summary

Accelero in Cardiff invites a Senior Firmware Engineer to join a highly skilled engineering team. You will work on innovative embedded products central to physical access and security systems, developing robust firmware and cryptographic features.

This role emphasizes low-level development, debugging, and end-to-end contribution across the product lifecycle, collaborating with cross‑functional teams in the UK and internationally, and delivering designs and tests that meet real‑world security

Qualifications

• Proven experience in embedded firmware development.
• Strong C and/or C# programming skills.
• Experience debugging embedded systems.
• Knowledge of software development lifecycles and version control.
• Familiarity with CI/CD methodologies.
• Understanding of cryptographic technologies and secure communications.
• Ability to work independently whilst contributing effectively within a team.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded firmware solutions primarily in C.
• Design secure cryptographic functionality.
• Debug and troubleshoot embedded hardware and software.
