Job summary

VIQU IT is recruiting an Embedded Software Engineer to develop production‑quality software for an electric vehicle platform in Warwick. The role focuses on MATLAB/Simulink, Embedded C/C++, and model‑based design to deliver vehicle functionality and integration.

You will work across verification, validation, and integration activities in a hands‑on engineering environment. The position involves model‑, software‑, and hardware‑in‑the‑loop testing, along with participation in commissioning,

Qualifications

• Commercial embedded software development experience.
• Production-quality embedded software and control systems experience.
• Strong MATLAB/Simulink experience.
• Understanding of V-Model lifecycle and safety concepts.
• Automotive vehicle familiarity and CAN protocol knowledge.
• Degree or equivalent in engineering.

Responsibilities

• Develop embedded control software for an electric vehicle application.
• Use MATLAB/Simulink and MBSD techniques to implement vehicle functionality.
• Translate stakeholder requirements into production-quality software.
• Integrate software into a new vehicle platform for production deployment.
• Use verification tools to assess code quality and structure.
• Create and execute tests demonstrating requirements compliance.
• Support model-in-the-loop, software-in-the-loop, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
• Assist with vehicle commissioning, calibration, and debugging.
• Contribute to safety and cybersecurity analysis, implementation and testing.
• Collaborate with the wider engineering team to meet tight deadlines.

ThebusinessisrecruitinganEmbeddedSoftwareEngineertosupportamajorvehicledevelopmentprogramme,replacinganexistingplatformwithanewelectricvehicleplatform.

Youwilldevelopandintegrateproduction-intentembeddedsoftware,turningstakeholderrequirementsintovehiclefunctionalityandcontrolsystems.Thisisahands-onengineeringrolecoveringmodel-baseddevelopment,softwareimplementation,systemsintegration,verificationandvehicletesting.
