Job summary

Leonardo UK is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Architect to shape the next generation of defence-grade systems. You will lead software engineering efforts, translate requirements into robust architectures, and drive integration of advanced software and EW capabilities across platforms.

You'll collaborate with stakeholders, evaluate design approaches, and promote modularity, reuse, and best practices in toolchains.

Qualifications

  • Experience in embedded software and system architecture.
  • Knowledge of C++ and Linux/VXWorks desirable.
  • Familiarity with UML modelling and design patterns.
  • Understanding of requirements engineering and network architectures.

Responsibilities

Your impact

As an Embedded Software Architect, you'll play a key role in shaping the future of cutting-edge systems, working at the forefront of software innovation. You’ll have the chance to lead software engineering solutions that bring complex systems to life, influencing projects from the earliest stages. You will contribute at the requirements and architecture level to ensure the successful deployment of advanced software and electronic warfare (EW) capabilities.
