Job description

Senior Embedded Coordinator

Location: Chichester

Contract: Initial 6-Month Contract (Potential to Extend to 9–12 Months)

Working Pattern: Full-Time – 37 hours per week

Working Arrangement: Mainly Remote (with occasional travel expected)

Rate: £17 umbrella an hour (£13 PAYE an hour)


About the Role:

West Sussex County Council is seeking a highly organised and resilient Senior Embedded Coordinator to support the Assistant Director (Adult Operations) and senior management within the Adult Social Care Directorate.

This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, can manage sensitive and complex information, and is confident working with professionals across multiple services. The successful candidate will coordinate multi-agency panels and meetings, handle administrative tasks, and support the delivery of high-quality adult social care services.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate and minute multi-agency panels and meetings, track actions, and prepare reports for strategic boards.
  • Provide diary and logistical support to the Assistant Director and senior managers, including booking meetings, events, and liaising with stakeholders.
  • Maintain and update shared inboxes, SharePoint sites, trackers, and leave records.
  • Support recruitment processes, order equipment, process invoices, and manage low-level procurement.
  • Draft and upload case notes and documents to internal systems (e.g., Mosaic) following agreed formats.
  • Handle sensitive correspondence and prepare documentation for investigations or audits (e.g., LGSCO, SWE).
  • Maintain effective communication with internal teams and external partners.
