Control Risks is hiring an Embedded Security Intelligence Analyst to join our team supporting a major tech client. You will collect, curate, and disseminate current and forecasted risk intelligence to partners and stakeholders, providing strategic foresight on security and operational concerns that may pose safety risks.

You will own routine regional products, contribute to high-profile research projects, and support large team initiatives such as Olympics and Periscope, within the Security,

Qualifications

  • Bachelors degree in history, political science, international relations, intelligence analysis, or related discipline.
  • 3a0014 years of experience, or commensurate skills, in an analysis function.
  • Experience in collection and analytical methodologies.
  • Keen understanding of social media monitoring techniques.
  • Proficiency in the client workspace product suite and ability to present information graphically and in concise reports.
  • Excellent research, analytical, writing, and verbal presentation skills.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to external environment and organization.
  • Ability to be a positive and effective team member.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and prioritize.

Responsibilities

  • Collect, curate, and disseminate current and forecasted risk intelligence to partners and stakeholders.
  • Provide strategic foresight and analysis on security and operational concerns posing safety risks.
  • Own day-to-day monitoring and first-line analysis for defined markets, themes, and events.
  • Author routine regional products in the portfolio.
  • Maintain current understanding of security and political conditions and translate into operational products.
  • Flag developments with wider regional implications and elevate to Senior Analyst or RSIM.
  • Contribute to defined projects with oversight and guidance.
  • Support large team projects by completing tasks and assisting with scope.

Requirements

  • We maintain a detailed, current understanding of security and political conditions in assigned markets and translate them into operationally relevant products.
  • We flag developments in our markets that may have wider regional implications and elevate them to a Senior Analyst or RSIM.
  • We conduct research and complete defined projects with some oversight and guidance.
  • We support large team projects by completing individual tasks, helping with scope, assignments, and editing when asked.
  • We may lead unique or ad hoc individual projects, and at times larger projects, as development opportunities.
  • We support regional-specific products, global thematic reports, and high-profile research projects.
  • We produce first drafts of routine products and make minor edits and structural reformatting as needed.
  • We contribute as core analysts in crisis and incident streams, providing situation updates and basic implications.
  • We complete tasks on time as defined by RSIM and provide peer-level support so others may complete tasks on time.
  • We use existing procedures to solve standard problems, make suggestions for process improvement, and collaborate on solutions for more complex challenges.
