Job summary

Insignis Talent is seeking an experienced Embedded Software Engineer for a South East London-based project on a 6-month contract (Inside IR35, day rate competitive). You'll contribute from day one, delivering real-time embedded software for dedicated hardware platforms.

The role focuses on C/C++ development, Embedded Linux, RTOS, multi-threaded applications, and close collaboration with multi-disciplinary teams to meet project milestones.

Qualifications

• Requires embedded software design and C/C++ development.
• Experience with Embedded Linux and RTOS environments such as VxWorks/FreeRTOS.
• Strong multi-threading, scheduling and real-time software principles.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain embedded software in C/C++.
• Develop software for Embedded Linux and RTOS.
• Implement multi-threaded, real-time applications with deterministic performance.
• Debug, test and optimise software throughout the development lifecycle.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to deliver milestones.
