A leading company is looking for an Embedded Linux Driver Developer for a fully remote, long-term contract based in Bournemouth. Ideal candidates will have extensive experience in driver development, especially in Linux Kernel environments, and will be involved in developing custom drivers for SoC designs while contributing to open-source efforts.

Remote working - Outside IR35 - Long-term contract - Embedded Linux Developer

One of my longest standing clients is looking to hire several embedded software developers to support with developing custom Linux Kernel Drivers for proprietary SoC designs. They seek engineers with experience in driver development (peripheral communication, hardware communication, audio, etc.), familiarity with different parts of the Linux Kernel, and preferably an interest in upstreaming contributions to the open-source community.

This is a full remote working contract, initially for 6 months, with potential extension up to 2-3 years.

Key Requirements:

• Extensive knowledge of Platform and non-Platform drivers
• Experience with Yocto (preferably Scarthgap/Dunfell)
• Full remote working capability
• Outside IR35 (for UK contractors)
