Job summary

AMD invites motivated interns to contribute to embedded design development on next-generation Adaptive SoCs/FPGA designs. You will gain hands-on experience across hardware and software domains, including ASIC/FPGA IP design and verification, with mentorship from experienced engineers.

The role covers projects across multiple industries, offering unique exposure to real-world AMD embedded technologies and opportunities for growth during a 14-month placement in Belfast.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a UK-based university in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering or related field.
• Experience with Python, Tcl, and Unix shell is beneficial.
• Knowledge of RTL design using Verilog or VHDL and FPGA/ASIC toolchains is desired.

Responsibilities

• Assist across hardware/software boundary with embedded design development, scripting, and system integration.
• Contribute to full system solutions on Adaptive SoCs/FPGA designs.
• Engage in projects spanning Aerospace & Defense, Automotive, Industrial & Robotics, and AI.
