Job summary

Advanced Technical Recruitment is seeking an Electronics & Firmware Engineer to join a Southampton-based optics technology developer. You will develop and deliver optical systems for standard and bespoke applications, spanning the full design life-cycle of control electronics and firmware for optoelectronic devices.

You will bring expertise in low-noise analogue electronics for optoelectronics and C/C++ for embedded systems (PIC/AVR/STM32).

Qualifications

• Degree in Electronics or equivalent.
• Experience in firmware and electronics design for product development.
• Proficiency in C and/or C++, with embedded systems experience (microcontrollers).
• Experience with low-noise analogue electronics for optoelectronics.

Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver control electronics and firmware for optoelectronic devices across the design life-cycle.
• Design, build and test electronics and firmware to meet customer specifications.
• Documentation of production procedures and training production staff on procedures.
