Overview:
We view Email as a key growth opportunity in our digital mix. As such, the Email Officer will work alongside the Email Marketing Manager as a consultant to wider stakeholders and help to establish the foundations of a scalable email programme. This involves growing our supporter base across our 3 brands and creating engaging emails that supporters look forward to receiving.
You will join a team of marketing specialists playing a pivotal role in merging marketing and technology, supporting stakeholders' fundraising ambitions, and helping the Foundation achieve its mission to build a healthier society.

Key Responsibilities
- Use your expertise in email marketing to enhance supporter experiences across our 3 brands.
- Serve as the frontline email expert, advising stakeholders on best practices for campaigns and audience management.
- Manage the email delivery process from briefing to send, including creating briefs, reviewing content, managing UTMs, and building emails or automations.
- Help establish and maintain email delivery processes, such as the email calendar, campaign planner on Monday, and quality checklists.
- Maintain and expand email reporting, establishing performance benchmarks and providing insights to inform future activities.
- Utilize data insights to guide campaign strategies and stakeholder consultations.
- Stay updated on trends and changes in the email landscape affecting delivery, technology, and reporting.
- Assist in establishing a comprehensive email testing framework aligned with departmental standards.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience
Knowledge and experience:
- At least 2 years of email marketing experience, not limited to the non-profit or health sectors.
- Knowledge of at least 2 ESPs and related platforms (CRMs, integrations).
- Understanding of data's role in audience segmentation and key segments.
- Experience planning and building emails based on data insights, overseeing delivery from start to finish.
- Experience working with stakeholders at various levels, with confident communication skills.
- Knowledge of different types of emails and automations within an email programme.
- Ability to analyze raw email data to develop relevant metrics and reporting.
- Awareness of changes in the email landscape and their impacts.
- Understanding of consent, data protection, and legislation related to data processing.
Skills & abilities:
- Passionate about email marketing and aware of industry changes.
- Knowledge of elements that create engaging, accessible emails.
- Proficient with email and digital marketing technologies.
- Understanding of audience management practices and list hygiene techniques.
- Experience with analytics platforms like Google Analytics for comprehensive reporting.
- Ability to identify insights and testing opportunities for impactful campaigns.
