Job summary

OKTOBER is a fast-growing Shopify retention agency inviting an entry-level Retention Associate to own email copy tasks and project management for several pod accounts. You will work remotely, aligning with 12–5pm CET/CEST, and collaborate with a Senior RM to shape client strategies.

Dutch fluency is required and growth toward ownership is expected. This role is a launchpad with real ownership from day one, offering a structured growth path to Retention Manager and exposure to leading ecommerce

Responsibilities

• Own copywriting for pod accounts (5–6) based on strategy set by Senior RM.
• Maintain project momentum with status updates and approvals.
• Contribute ideas to account strategy and work closely with Senior RM.
• Pull and format reports for decision-making by Senior RM.
• Spot blockers or delays before they affect clients.

Our team is small, sharp, and obsessed with turning one-time buyers into loyal customers and we're building the next generation of retention experts from the ground up. This is your way in.

This is a full-time entry-level role into email retention - steep learning curve, real ownership from day one, and a clear runway into owning your own client strategy as a more senior Retention Manager down the line.

We're a remote-first company, so you're free to work whenever suits you best, just make sure you're online from 12–5pm CE(S)T so we can stay in sync with the team and clients. Please only apply if you can commit to this.

What you'll do:

• Own copywriting for pod accounts (5-6) based on the strategy set by your pod's Senior RM
• Keep projects on track: status updates, chasing approvals, day-to-day sequencing
• Contribute ideas to account strategy and start building your own strategic instincts, working closely with your Senior RM
• Pull and format reports so your Senior RM can turn them into decisions
• Spot blockers or delays before they become a client's problem

What we're looking for (non negotiable):

• Ideally first agency experience
• First experience with email copywriting for DTC brands: you know how to write copy that gets a response
• First experience with project management: you can keep tasks, approvals and deadlines organized without things slipping
• Reliability: you deliver what you promise, without needing to be chased
• You own your mistakes and actually apply feedback, instead of just nodding along
• Genuine hunger to grow into strategy and account ownership - this role is a launchpad, not a landing spot
• You can commit to work from 12–5pm CE(S)T
• You speak Dutch on a native level
