Job summary

Goldman Sachs is seeking an Analyst/Associate to join the EM SSA Trading desk in a trading role with exposure to primary issuance and a broad secondary market remit across Asia, EMEA and LatAm. You will manage risk, support settlements and develop ideas to improve desk efficiency.

The ideal candidate is quantitative, proactive, well-organised and a strong communicator who can own tasks from start to finish and collaborate with sales, clients and other stakeholders.

Qualifications

• Quantitative background with working knowledge of swaps and FX.
• Understanding macroeconomic drivers of EM products.
• Desire to learn, initiative and ownership of tasks.
• Attention to detail and process improvement.
• Strong written and verbal communication across regions.

Responsibilities

• Risk management of bond trading positions and related FX, interest rate and basis risk.
• Support in managing new primary issuances and associated booking, confirmation, settlement and redemption/maturity processes.
• Development of innovative solutions to optimise desk performance and efficiency.
• Trade idea generation and communication to sales, clients and other stakeholders.
