Operations Strategy
Senior Associate
We are growing our Enterprise Strategy & Operating Model team, helping some of the UK’s leading organisations turn strategy into practical, deliverable change.
Our work centres on helping clients answer some of their biggest organisational questions. How should they organise themselves to deliver their strategy? What capabilities do they need? How should accountabilities, processes, technology, data and people come together? And how do they move successfully from today’s organisation to the one they need for the future?
We work across industries and across the public and private sectors, supporting clients through large-scale transformation, operating model redesign, organisational change, digital transformation and complex implementation.
As a Senior Associate, you’ll be a core member of our client teams, working alongside experienced colleagues to solve complex problems, develop operating model solutions and help clients turn those designs into reality.
You’ll have significant responsibility for your own work and client relationships, while developing the skills and experience to lead increasingly complex workstreams and engagements.
Supporting the design and delivery of operating model and transformation engagements, from strategy and initial design through to implementation.
Analysing how organisations operate today and identifying opportunities to improve their organisation, governance, capabilities, processes, people, technology and data. Gathering and analysing qualitative and quantitative information, identifying insights and turning these into clear recommendations.
Developing operating model designs, organisation structures, capability models, governance arrangements, processes, role definitions and implementation plans.
Preparing high-quality client materials that communicate complex ideas clearly and concisely. Working directly with client stakeholders through interviews, workshops and working sessions to understand problems and co-create solutions.
Supporting workshops and stakeholder sessions, helping teams work through complex choices and reach decisions.
Helping clients move from design into implementation, including mobilisation, transition planning, change activity and tracking delivery. Taking ownership of defined pieces of work and supporting junior colleagues where appropriate. Contributing to the development of our Enterprise Strategy & Operating Model methods, tools, propositions and market insight.
You have experience of business transformation, operating model, organisation design, strategy or change, either within consulting or in an industry role. You want to develop your consulting skills while working on complex, meaningful transformation challenges across a wide range of clients and industries.
You enjoy solving complex problems and can bring structure to situations where the answer is not immediately obvious. You have strong analytical skills and can draw useful insights from a combination of data, interviews, research and stakeholder input.
You have some experience working across elements of an operating model, such as organisation, governance, capabilities, processes, people, technology or data. You are comfortable working with stakeholders at different levels of an organisation and building strong working relationships.
You are curious about how organisations work and why some organisations are better able to turn strategy into delivery than others. You understand the role technology, digital and data can play in changing how organisations operate.
You are comfortable taking ownership of your work while collaborating closely with a wider team. You can produce clear, well-structured written outputs and communicate your thinking effectively.
You have external qualifications such as Certified Business Architect (BIZBOK), TOGAF or comparable internal training (preferred but not required).
