Job summary

Maryvale Catholic Primary School in Birmingham is seeking an enthusiastic and qualified Class Teacher to join the Enhanced Learning Provision (ELP) on a fixed-term basis from September 2026 until 31 August 2027. The role requires a strong understanding of the National Curriculum and inclusive teaching for pupils with Special Educational Needs.

The successful candidate will support pupils academically, behaviourally and socially, uphold the Catholic ethos, and contribute to safeguarding.

Qualifications

• Qualified teacher with QTS.
• Experience with ELP or SEN support is advantageous.
• Strong understanding of the National Curriculum and inclusive teaching.

Responsibilities

• Provide academic, behavioural and social support for individual pupils and small groups.
• Demonstrate strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and inclusive teaching strategies.
• Be enthusiastic, reflective, and an effective communicator.
• Maintain high standards of oral, written and numeracy skills.
• Commit to safeguarding and promoting welfare of all children.
• Show readiness to lead a foundation curriculum subject if applicable.
