Job summary

Capita plc is seeking an Underwater Escape Training (UET) Instructor at Yeovilton to prepare aircrew and passengers with essential safety skills. You will deliver immersive UET programmes, support trainees before courses, and report on outcomes, while maintaining specialist equipment and PPE.

This full-time role at 37.5 hours per week requires SC level UK security clearance and CMAS 3* diving qualification (or equivalent).

Qualifications

• CMAS 3* diving qualification or equivalent is required.
• Computer literacy with MS Office is required.
• Desirable: military aviation or diving background.

Responsibilities

• Deliver UET courses safely and effectively to approved standards.
• Ensure trainee safety, welfare and duty of care throughout training.
• Perform roles including Course Trainer, Support Trainer, Pool Safety, Diver Attendant and Safety Diver.
• Prepare training materials, equipment and facilities for courses.
• Assess trainee performance, provide feedback and remedial training.
• Complete course administration, maintain student records and training statistics.
• Maintain qualifications and equipment serviceability of UET equipment and PPE.
• Support the wider training team with equipment management and other duties.
