Major Food Group in London’s Mayfair at Carbone London seeks a Sommelier who will craft memorable wine experiences and guide guests through thoughtful pairings. You will collaborate with front-of-house and culinary teams to uphold the highest wine service standards.

The ideal candidate has a genuine passion for wine, strong communication skills, and a friendly, proactive approach in a busy, high-end restaurant environment.

Qualifications

• Genuine passion and interest in wine.
• Good knowledge of wine and a desire to continually develop expertise.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Recommend wines and food pairings to guests based on preferences and dining choices.
• Guide guests through the wine list and make recommendations based on tastes and budget.
• Maintain knowledge of the wine list, grape varieties, regions and pricing.
• Ensure wines are served at correct temperature and in proper glassware.
