Job summary

Manchester United Academy is seeking an Athletic Development lead for the Professional Development Phase. You will design and deliver programme plans, combining gym, field and on-pitch work to maximise young players’ physical development and readiness for senior football.

You will work with coaching, medical and performance staff, using data insights to tailor development plans and monitor progress across IDPs and reviews.

Qualifications

Degree-level qualification in sport science or related with accredited standards.
Elite youth sport experience delivering athletic development.
Experience in multidisciplinary performance environments.

Responsibilities

Deliver high-quality athletic development programmes for PDP players.
Design individual development plans based on profiling and goals.
Use GPS and performance data to inform plans.
Coordinate with coaching, medical and performance staff.
Contribute to IDPs and performance reviews.
Prepare players for matchday demands and recovery.
