Job summary

Prestwick Golf Club in Ayrshire, Scotland, invites applications for a full-time Greenkeeper to join our historic links course team. The role focuses on daily maintenance, presentation and contributing to tournament preparation.

We value data-driven, sustainable course management, safety and teamwork. The successful candidate will maintain greens, tees, fairways, roughs, and playing surfaces to high standards, with opportunities for professional development and overtime.

Qualifications

• Three years’ practical greenkeeping experience
• PA1, PA2 and PA6 pesticide application certificates
• Experience operating a broad range of golf-course machinery
• Sound understanding of turf maintenance and golf-course presentation
• Strong commitment to health and safety

Responsibilities

• Preparing and maintaining greens, tees, fairways, roughs and practice areas
• Mowing and presenting playing surfaces to high standards
• Course set-up, including hole changing, tee presentation and daily inspections
• Bunker preparation, turfing, divoting and general course maintenance
• Safely operating and maintaining modern golf-course machinery
• Recording agronomic, environmental and performance data
• Supporting irrigation, drainage and water-management operations
• Contributing to tournament and special-event preparation
• Maintaining Prestwick’s distinctive links character and playing qualities
