Job summary

Milton Keynes Dons Football Club is seeking an experienced First Team Physiotherapist to join our Sports Science and Medicine Department and deliver elite Physiotherapy services to the First Team at Stadium MK.

The role focuses on assessment, diagnosis, treatment, rehabilitation, and ongoing management of injuries in a high-performance football setting, with strong emphasis on evidence-based practice and contributing to the team’s performance objectives.

Qualifications

• BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy qualification or equivalent/higher requirement.
• Current HCPC registration.
• Full membership of Chartered Society of Physiotherapy.
• Postgraduate CPD and continuous professional development.
• ITMMiF or equivalent/postgraduate qualification is preferred.
• Experience in elite/high-performance sport environment.
• Strong clinical assessment, treatment and rehabilitation skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide elite, evidence-based Physiotherapy service to First Team Players.
• Assess, diagnose and manage acute and chronic musculoskeletal injuries.
• Develop, deliver and review individualised rehabilitation and reconditioning programmes.
• Support safe return-to-play decisions with multidisciplinary team.
• Provide pitch-side emergency care during training and matches.
• Deliver high-level manual therapy, soft tissue therapy and acupuncture where appropriate.
• Contribute to injury prevention, surveillance and clinical audit.
• Maintain medical and Physiotherapy records with confidentiality.
