Overview

This is a dual-fuel metering role in the commercial sector with upskilling opportunities and a focus on quality and safety.

Key details: Location: Aberdeen, AB Postcodes Only; Hours: 40 hours Mon–Fri 8am–5pm, out-of-hours service 6am–8am and 5pm–8pm; Salary: £43,260 per year with realistic earnings £50K-£55K dependent on location; Onboarding: £3,000 onboarding bonus; Benefits available: comprehensive package described below.

Responsibilities

• A ‘can-do’ attitude and participation in a variety of field metering activities focused on positive customer outcomes
• Responsible for the safe installation, exchange, commission, removal and ongoing maintenance of metering systems and associated equipment and communication systems
• Undertake friendly Debt Resolution Visits with the aim to fit a Smart Meter and collect outstanding debt (dedicated back-office support team to support you)
• Undertake Warrant Officer visits to resolve debt (dedicated back-office support team to support)

Upskilling and Career Path

• Upskilling to Three phase, Medium pressure, and other metering capabilities
• Potential progression to Half Hourly / CT Metering, Gas U16 – U40, Technical Lead, Quality Assessor, Regional Field Manager

• A ‘can-do’ attitude and willingness to participate in a variety of field metering activities focused on positive customer outcomes
• Safe installation, exchange, commission, removal and maintenance of metering systems and related equipment
• Ability to undertake debt-related visits and work with a supportive back-office

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise

Essential Qualifications / Experience:

• Smart Metering (Dual Fuel) Experience
• Industry Qualifications: CMA1/CCN1 + MET1 (or equivalent)
• Certificate in Power (Logic or equivalent)

Desirable:

• MET4 – Small commercial gas metering
• Current Transformer (CT)
• Three Phase
• REGT1-Medium Pressure

• UK Driving Licence
• Pass a colour blindness test
• Pass a DBS check
