Job summary

Securitas is seeking an Explosives Detection Dog Handler to join a specialist canine team protecting UK aviation. You will work with a trained FREDDs partner to screen cargo and passengers, ensuring regulatory and company procedures are followed.

The role offers professional dog handling experience, ongoing training, and opportunities for career progression within Securitas Protective Specialist Services.

Qualifications

• Right to work in the UK with a 5-year checkable history.
• Valid UK Driving Licence (clean, no endorsements).
• Ability to live within a 45–50 minute commute of the site.
• Experience with canine handling and detection capabilities.

Responsibilities

• Screening cargo using canine detection methods in line with UK regulations.
• Maintain operational capability of FREDDs and training records.
• Conduct on-the-job and continuation training for handlers and dogs.
• Deploy in support of wider business operations as required.
• Lead on Health & Safety matters and site compliance.
