Job summary

SystemsAccountants is seeking a Senior Applications Developer to own the development and support of Elite 3E-based solutions within a complex legal environment. You will work with finance and business stakeholders to deliver innovative applications that drive efficiency and performance.

Lead development using Elite 3E, VB.NET and SQL, acting as SME, while collaborating with vendors to ensure alignment with business goals and industry best practices.

Qualifications

• Experience with Elite 3E IDE is mandatory.
• Significant experience developing and customising Elite 3E solutions.
• Advanced knowledge of .NET development, VB.NET and XML techs (XSLT, XPath).
• Strong SQL Server and T-SQL skills for performant DB solutions.
• Ability to work with stakeholders across finance and operations.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and exposure to Power Platform/Reporting tools is advantageous.

• Develop, customise and enhance Elite 3E applications and workflows for finance and operations in a legal services environment.
• Partner with Finance, IT and business stakeholders to design Elite 3E solutions that improve efficiency and data quality.
• Lead scalable development using Elite 3E, VB.NET, SQL and XML technologies.
• Act as SME for Elite 3E, identify improvements and support evolution of the practice management platform.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to implement Elite 3E enhancements aligned with business objectives.

Join a highly regarded law firm as a Senior Applications Developer, taking ownership of the development and support of Elite 3E-based solutions within a complex legal environment. Working closely with finance and business stakeholders, you will deliver innovative applications and system enhancements that drive efficiency, performance and service excellence.

Role Responsibilities

• Develop, customise and enhance Elite 3E applications and workflows to support the finance, billing, matter management and operational requirements of a legal services environment.
• Partner with Finance, IT and business stakeholders todesign and deliver Elite 3E solutions that improve efficiency, data quality and user experience across the firm.
• Lead the development of scalable solutions using Elite 3E, VB.NET, SQL and XML technologies, ensuring high levels of performance, stability and maintainability.
• Act as a subject matter expert for Elite 3E, identifying system improvements, troubleshooting complex issues and supporting the ongoing evolution of the firm's practice management platform.
• Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to implement, integrate and support Elite 3E enhancements, ensuring solutions align with business objectives and industry best practice.

Required experience

• You must have experience with Elite 3E IDE.
• Significant experience developing and customising Elite 3E solutions.
• Advanced knowledge of .NET development, particularly VB.NET, alongside XML technologies such as XSLT and XPath.
• Strong experience with SQL Server and T-SQL, with the ability to develop performant and maintainable database solutions.
• Proven ability to work on complex business-critical applications, communicating effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Experience with Azure DevOps and exposure to Microsoft technologies such as Power Platform, Microsoft Fabric or reporting solutions would be highly advantageous.

Toolsets

• Elite 3E IDE 2.7 or later development experience is required.
• Elite 3E Templates / Design Gallery knowledge would be highly advantageous.
• SQL Server - TSQL.
• XSLT.
• Power Platform (Power BI, Power Apps, Logic Apps and Power Automate) experience is highly advantageous.
• Microsoft SQL Reporting Services would be advantageous.
