Job summary

Bright Purple in Aberdeen region is seeking an experienced Electronics Workshop Manager to lead its workshop across assembly, service, repair, calibration and QC. You will own standards, drive performance, manage budgets and develop people and processes.

Reporting to the Manufacturing & Servicing Manager, you will oversee a multidisciplinary team, ensure safe, compliant operations, optimise KPI delivery, and continuously improve efficiency and cost control in a busy electronics facility.

Qualifications

Proven leadership in electronics manufacturing, servicing, repair, calibration or similar.
Working knowledge of QHSE requirements, ESD control, risk assessment and quality systems.
Experience building performance and training frameworks for multidisciplinary teams.
Experience using KPIs, ERP/MRP systems and workshop data to drive delivery and improvement.
Experience managing workshop resources, inventory and budgets.

Responsibilities

Directly lead a multidisciplinary team of assemblers, technicians, QC inspectors and calibration staff.
Set and drive performance standards; oversee continuous improvement.
Lead objective setting, performance reviews and employee relations.
Oversee training, competency frameworks and career progression.
Manage departmental budget and overtime requirements.
Coordinate activities across assembly, test, repair, QC and calibration.
Plan workload to meet production schedules and deadlines.
Monitor KPIs like on‑time delivery and right‑first‑time.
