Job summary

Indra Renewable Technologies Ltd. is seeking an Electronics Test Technician to join the engineering team developing next‑generation EV charging products. You will build, test, and validate electronic assemblies and complete charger units, collaborating with Electronics, Embedded Software and Mechanical Engineers.

You will support prototypes, pilot and production builds, perform fault finding, and maintain test records to ensure high quality, reliable products for market release.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND, NVQ, apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5+ years' experience working in an electronics laboratory, manufacturing environment, or product development environment.

Responsibilities

• Build, modify and test PCBs, prototype assemblies, and complete charger units.
• Carry out PCB rework, component replacement, wiring modifications and prototype build activities.
• Maintain accurate build, test and configuration records.
• Support prototype, pilot and production build activities.
• Support fault finding and root cause investigations on development, production and field-return units.
• Develop and maintain test rigs, fixtures and test equipment.
• Support engineering teams with product verification and validation activities.
• Execute functional, environmental, verification and validation test procedures.
• Record, analyse and report test results in a clear and structured manner.
• Ensure all work is completed in accordance with engineering processes, quality standards and safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

As an Electronics Test Technician, you will join our engineering team supporting the development and delivery of Indra's next-generation EV charging products. Working closely with Electronics, Embedded Software, and Mechanical Engineers, you will be responsible for building, modifying, testing, and validating electronic assemblies and complete charger units throughout the product development lifecycle.

This is an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge EV charging technologies, supporting the NGAC programme and future product developments. You will play a key role in ensuring prototypes and production units are built, tested, and validated to the highest standards, helping to deliver reliable and compliant products to market.

Skills Overview:

Qualifications

• HNC/HND, NVQ, apprenticeship, or equivalent qualification in Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.

Essential Skills

• Experience building, modifying, and testing electronic assemblies, PCBs, and complete products.
• Competent in soldering and rework of through-hole and surface-mount components, including fine-pitch devices.
• Experience carrying out PCB modifications, wire modifications, component replacement, and prototype rework activities.
• Ability to read and interpret schematics, PCB layouts, Gerber files, assembly drawings, and engineering documentation.
• Experience using laboratory equipment including oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, electronic loads, and signal generators.
• Strong fault-finding and debugging skills at PCB and system level.
• Experience following and executing documented build, inspection, and test procedures.
• Ability to inspect PCB assemblies and identify workmanship defects, assembly issues, and component placement errors.
• Experience recording test results and maintaining accurate build and test records.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
