Job summary

Proactive Global is seeking a Test Technician in the Chertsey area to support electronics testing and manufacturing processes. The role requires reading drawings, fault finding, and using standard test equipment to ensure products meet specifications.

Ideally you hold GCSEs, ONC/HNC in electronics, and IPC standards knowledge; training and continuous improvement are encouraged in a high-technology environment.

Qualifications

• Good GCSE grades or equivalent in English and Maths.
• ONC, HNC or equivalent in an electronic discipline essential.
• Comprehensive understanding of relevant IPC standards.
• General understanding of industry standards and regulations to ensure safety.

Responsibilities

• Lead and deliver test activities following instructions and processes to ensure technology is delivered effectively, efficiently, on-time, to specification and in a cost effective manner.
• Performs/prepares test activities during product manufacturing.
• Electronics assembly inspection support.
• Use of standard bench top test equipment such as oscilloscopes, function generators, multimeters etc.
• Ability to fault find electronic circuits and assemblies to component level.
• Follows and communicates understanding of test procedures, processes and technical documentation.
• Works autonomously within established procedures and practices.
• Maintains manufacturing documentation to achieve full standards of traceability.
• Reading from manufacturing drawings
• Assembly of electromechanical equipment with basic hand tools and following work instructions/schematics

Test Technician urgently required to work for a leading manufacturing company based Near Woking. We are looking for experienced Technicians with a positive attitude to learning who can develop and enhance skills further. follow predefined test processes to deliver products through advanced and specialised experience, typically developed through a combination of job-related training and considerable on-the-job experience.

Test Technician may carry out tasks such as.
