Responsibilities

• Raise, investigate and manage internal, supplier and customer non-conformance reports.
• Lead or support root-cause investigations using methods such as 5 Whys and fishbone analysis.
• Agree corrective and preventive actions and monitor them through to closure.
• Conduct internal audits of product, process and quality management systems.
• Support maintenance and continual improvement of ISO 9001 QMS.
• Lead external certification audits.
• Monitor quality trends and corrective-action performance.
• Assist with training materials for production and technical personnel.
• Create and maintain test instructions, work instructions, inspection procedures and troubleshooting guides.

Electronics Test / Quality Engineer

Inspire Resourcing are currently recruiting an Electronics Test / Quality Engineer, on behalf of a client based in Sheffield.

Key Responsibilities

• Raise, investigate and manage internal, supplier and customer non-conformance reports.
• Lead or support root-cause investigations using appropriate methods, such as 5 Whys, fishbone analysis and corrective action plans.
• Agree corrective and preventive actions with relevant departments and monitor them through to effective closure.
• Conduct internal product, process and quality-management-system audits.
• Support the maintenance and continual improvement of the company’s ISO 9001 quality management system.
• Lead external certification audits.
• Monitor quality trends, recurring defects and corrective-action performance.
• Support supplier-quality investigations and the assessment of incoming electronic components and assemblies.
• Help develop inspection standards, acceptance criteria and quality-control documentation.
• Promote a culture of quality, traceability and continuous improvement throughout the business.
• Create and maintain test instructions, work instructions, inspection procedures and troubleshooting guides.
• Translate engineering information into clear documentation for production teams, installers, service engineers and customers.
• Maintain controlled engineering and quality documents in accordance with the company’s document-control procedures.
• Ensure documentation accurately reflects current product designs, software versions and manufacturing processes.
• Support the preparation of technical files, compliance records and product certification documentation.
• Produce clear technical reports summarising investigations, findings and recommendations.
• Assist with training materials and practical training for production and technical personnel.
• Create electronic system schematics to support customer orders.
• Work closely with Electronics Design Engineers to communicate test results and recommend design improvements.
• Support Production with technical queries, fault diagnosis and process improvements.
• Liaise with Purchasing and suppliers regarding component quality, technical issues and corrective actions.
• technical evidence to support customer-service and warranty investigations.
• Participate in design reviews, risk assessments, failure-mode reviews and product-improvement projects.
• Support the development and implementation of suitable production test equipment and test fixtures.
