Electronics Repair Engineer Portsmouth £35,000 - £45,000

Do you enjoy backwards engineering electronic devices to understand the inner workings with the ability to repair and calibrate once fixed? If so, this role could be perfect for you!

Here at ACR, we are working with an industry-leading electronics firm specializing in power and instrumentation devices. Working as part of an experienced team of technicians, you will handle customer devices to resolve and fix all electronic issues. This position offers a varied job role, where no two days are the same.

Electronics Repair Engineer's Key Responsibilities

1. Work as part of a dedicated electronics service and calibration team, across electronic power equipment and instrumentation devices.
2. Fault find down to component level as an Electronics Repair Technician.
3. Repair and service all electronic instruments, calibrate each before returning to customers in full working order.
4. Assist customers with technical problems, explaining faults and work needed in non-technical terms.
5. Occasionally visit customer sites for on-site repairs and calibration (company pool car available).
6. Collaborate with the team to achieve service and calibration goals.

Skills & Experience Required

1. Experience with electronics instrumentation/power equipment in a servicing, testing, or calibration role.
2. Ability to fault find analogue and digital electronics down to component level repairs.
3. Strong problem-solving skills for troubleshooting electrical and mechanical malfunctions.
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
5. Full UK driving license.

This is a full-time, permanent role based on the outskirts of Portsmouth, Monday to Friday, offering an annual salary between £35,000 and £45,000 depending on experience.
