Job summary

MTrec Commercial is seeking an experienced Test and Diagnostics Technician to join their team in a full-time, permanent role. You will conduct comprehensive testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electronic equipment within a manufacturing facility, ensuring products meet quality standards and customer specs.

You will work with test equipment, read schematics, document results, and collaborate with engineers to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent in Electronics Engineering Technology or Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 2+ years in electronics testing and troubleshooting, ideally in manufacturing.
• Strong understanding of electronics principles and troubleshooting methods.
• Proficiency with test equipment (oscilloscopes, meters, signal generators).
• Ability to read schematics and technical documentation.

Responsibilities

• Perform functional and diagnostic testing on electronic sub-assemblies and final products per test procedures and documentation.
• Troubleshoot and diagnose failures to component level, identify root causes, and recommend solutions.
• Use oscilloscopes, multimeters, signal generators, and ATE for tests and measurements.
• Interpret drawings and schematics to troubleshoot and repair electronic systems.
• Calibrate, maintain, and repair test and production equipment for accuracy.
