Electronics Test Development Engineer

Position Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Electronics Test Development Engineer with expertise in Automated Test Equipment. In this role, you will be instrumental in the design, development, and implementation of cutting-edge testing solutions for advanced electronic systems. You will focus on delivering high-quality, high-reliability test solutions to a wide range of customers globally.

Key Responsibilities

1. Design and develop automated test solutions tailored to complex electronics systems.
2. Design and develop electronic test fixtures to support functional test applications.
3. Write and debug test programs using LabVIEW, TestStand.
4. Commissioning of test applications for customers, either remotely or on-site at customer premises.
5. Operate with minimal supervision and high autonomy.
6. Support team members in their personal and professional development.
7. Maintain accurate documentation and track project costs to ensure effective delivery, including costs, time, and quality.
8. Assist in creating project bids/tenders for new and existing customers.
9. Interact directly with customers during development phases and provide post-delivery support.

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or Electrical Design.
• HNC/D in Electronic Engineering may be considered in lieu of experience.
• Proven experience (5+ years) in test development engineering and knowledge of standard instrumentation such as PXI and LXI.
• Proficiency in NI software design tools like LabVIEW and TestStand.
• Familiarity with test equipment such as oscilloscopes, signal generators, and logic analyzers.
• Ability to gain security clearance if required.
• Full UK (or EU) Driving License.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in custom hardware design.
• Understanding of statistical analysis methods and tools for test data.
• Working knowledge of additional programming languages, e.g., Python.
