Test Design Support Engineer

Overview of department:

Responsibilities

You will act as the interface between our design teams and our manufacturing teams while working alongside other support engineers to provide knowledge and support.

While the primary focus is on highly advanced module missile programmes and subsystems, there is also scope to work on other unique opportunities, including support to launcher assemblies.

Skillset/experience required:

Individuals should demonstrate the following attributes:

  • Degree qualified (or equivalent industry experience) with experience in designing products/systems and/or supporting designs through manufacturing.
  • Proven experience in the design of one or more of the following disciplines:
    • Digital and Analogue electronics
    • Power Electronics
    • RF & Antenna
    • Interconnects
    • Safety Electronics
    • Test Systems
    • Schematic design
    • PCB Design
    • Adherence to BS EN Standards
  • Excellent verbal communication, negotiation, and influencing skills, with the ability to write clear and concise engineering documentation.
  • Experience working within a multidisciplinary team, with awareness of associated challenges and opportunities, and a passion for innovation and collaboration.
  • Ability to work autonomously, lead work assignments, and engage with stakeholders for successful delivery.
  • Experience in managing work packages, controlling costs, and delivering solutions.
  • Supporting manufacturing and resolving manufacturing issues is advantageous but not essential.
  • Investigative skills to identify root causes of design issues and propose robust corrective actions.
  • A record of on-time delivery and strong communication skills are essential.
